The Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) was founded on October 24, 1953. Also known as La Católica, it is a private higher institution. The main headquarters are located in Caracas, Venezuela and it has centers in different areas of the country, including Los Teques in Miranda state, Coro in Falcón state and Puerto Ordaz in Bolívar state.
UCAB is divided into two areas, postgraduate and undergraduate, both have different faculties. Within the undergraduate area are the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, theFaculty of Law, the Faculty of Humanities and education, the Faculty of Engineering and Theology, within which are distributed the schools of economics, administration, philosophy letters, social communication, civil engineering, law and many more. Now, in terms of postgraduate studies, we can point out studies of Administrative and Management Sciences, Law, Engineering, Economic Sciences and many more. Similarly, the university has a research center, among which are the Engineering Research Center, the Institute for Economic and Social Research, the Nucleus of Studies on Economic Crime, among others.
The methodology used to carry out the degree thesis at the Andrés Bello Catholic University of Venezuela is presented in 4 phases:
Phase 1 (Summary, Introduction, Chapter I: Statement of the problem)
The abstract allows the reader to interpret the degree work in a global way. For its part, the introduction, has a slightly more detailed description of the entire thesis, in turn has the organization and content of each chapter. For its part, Chapter I or statement of the problem, must be written in such a way that it can answer questions such as From what? With what purpose? And of course make clear the existing problem and future responses to it.
Phase 2(Objectives, Hypotheses, Chapter II: Approach to the Theoretical Framework)
In Chapter Iat UCAB we find the objectives classified as general objective and specific objectives. The general objective is closely related to the degree, while the specific objectives include the activities that will be carried out during the completion of the degree work to solve the existing problem. Regarding the approach to the theoretical framework; This should only be done if the subject requires it, since there are purely practical theses whose information for the theoretical bases is almost nil. Only if the tutor indicates it, the project must contain a historical contextual framework.
Phase 3 (Chapter III: Reference Framework, Chapter IV: Methodological Framework)
For its part, the Reference Framework at UCAB has all the historical, cultural and legal data that were needed to carry out the project. It should be mentioned that this chapter is related to the objectives. For its part, Chapter IV or Methodological Framework, has the data used for the research of the degree work, this includes the type of research implemented, the place, the population and sample used, and of course, the techniques used for its preparation .
Phase 4 (Ethical aspects, Bibliographic references, Annexes)
At UCAB all points related to ethical aspects must be presented, they must detail all the resources used, this includes materials, human resources, technology and more. As for the bibliographic references, these include the sources used to carry out the degree work, the type of source used must be taken into account, whether it is a magazine, a web portal or a physical book.
All data must be placed.
And finally, the annexes, these encompass the entire graphic part of the project, we talk about tables, images (whether they are plans or photographs) and much more. It is worth mentioning that each annex must have its short description to know the objective of the proposed illustration, the same happens with the tables and graphs used, these must contain the name of the author and / or the source, and if they are created by the student, in the same way they must contain the necessary data.
